One lone shoe.
A high heel sitting by itself, gives off hints of Cinderella, but the owner of this shoe is not living in a fairy tale.
A row of stripper shoes, each with a card with the dancer’s name—not what you usually expect to see as decor at a lovely wedding venue like Trickle Creek.
October brings the annual fundraising event support Sending Flores and Velvet Hearts. We got connected with the founder, Bambi, after I photographed a local women’s event that Bambi also attended. It’s been our third year participating with her organization, capturing the annual event as well as participating in the Gold Team— a group of people who contribute monthly to aid Velvet Hearts in their goal of caring for women working in the sex industry in DFW.
At the event, attendees have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction to raise funds for the organization. This year, while enjoying catering from Beefmasters Steakhouse (yummy steak of course, but I heard the brownies were amazing), we watched the development of a prophetic painting, heard from guest speaker Dr. Veronica Cochran; as well from Bambi about the developments at Velvet Hearts and Sending Flores.
