We’re honored and thrilled you’re considering us to photograph your wedding day, it is not something we take lightly. As photographers, we want to give you the confidence to have a day you can enjoy in the moment and remember in beautiful images.

We’re a husband and wife team. Colton is the emotional one, sure to tear up when the bride walks down the aisle. I’m your adopted big sister who is there to help things run smoothly and make magic happen.

Outside of weddings, Colton is an environmental scientist, and I homeschool our two sons, Ames and Rowan, while occasionally searching for motivation to finish my novel. We’re those mythical beings called morning people (you get the best parking at the 8 am church service). We’re always up to visit a new coffee shop, enjoying a nice brunch, or getting lost in a used bookstore.

We love weddings, they’re beautiful events filled with lots of carefully chosen and personal details, but most of important of all, they’re the first day of your life as husband and wife.

the process

When we receive your questionnaire answers, we’ll create a quote with a custom wedding day timeline with one to two options in coverage that will best meet your wedding day needs.

Have some more specific questions, or want to talk through the quote and our recommendations more? Let’s schedule a chat, either on Google Meet, FaceTime, or (if possible) in person.

Once you accept the quote, I’ll send you the contract and invoice–a signed contract and 30% retainer are both needed to reserve your wedding date and get you officially on our calendar.

Now you’re officially a #byrabride, you’ll have access to our preferred vendors list and style guide. Soon we’ll schedule your engagement session and be sending you all the tips so you can have the best wedding day possible!

engagement sessions

The engagement session is about more than just pretty pictures. It’s a time for us to get to know each other so we’re a friendly face at your wedding, and learn how we work while photographing. I guarantee you’ll be feeling like models by the end and it’ll come right back on your wedding day.

We’ll discuss your preferred locations, timing, and guide you through outfit choices. After booking, you’ll have access to my digital style guide, and you’re always welcome to ask me for help when making selections.

View this session as practice time for your wedding–we don’t have to rush or worry about anyone waiting on us–so when wedding day comes you are completely comfortable in front of the camera. Colton even attends just so he and your groom can get to know each other so he’s just another guy friend hanging out before the ceremony come wedding day.

After your session, you’ll receive your images in an online gallery. From there, you can decide if you want to choose the 16×24 metal print or have me custom design your guest book album–this is an album featuring your engagement photos but designed for your wedding guests to sign!

How many images do you deliver
We don’t guarantee a specific number of images, however 60 images per hour is a safe estimate.
Can I add a bridal session or album after booking?
Absolutely! If you decide to book another portrait session or add an album, let me know and I’ll simply send you a separate invoice.
Do you deliver EVERY image you take?
Nope. We curate our gallery so it only contains the best images--we remove any images that are out of focus, duplicates, or don’t meet our standard of quality. But trust when I say you'll receive MORE images than you could possibly use.
When should we have our portrait session(s)?
If you plan to use your engagement photos in your Save the Dates, around 8 months before your wedding. For bridals, these happen right after your final alterations appointment, ideally a month before your wedding date (in case you want any prints made to have at the wedding).
Can I have the unedited images too?
We do not deliver our unedited images; this would be the same as asking a baker for a cake but also wanting the unmixed flour, sugar, eggs, etc. Also, we shoot in a very large file format that requires special software to even view.
Can you change how you edit the photos?
Unfortunately no, how we shoot in camera directly effects the images and post-processing. If you're looking for a photographer with a different image style, I'd be happy to give you suggestions.
