When you’re friends with me, a pro–or you might consider it a con–of creating portraits together is I get much more opinionated about the styling. So when Lauren was toying with maternity portraits before she has her baby boy, I told her if we’re doing this we’re going big. She brought the dress, I brought the fur, and Mineral Wells gave us some beautiful backdrops.
We started at Sol Studios where I had just wrapped my fall short sessions, so we threw in some Christmas Cheer. Lauren looked like she needed to head back to whatever hallmark movie she had walked out of and knock some sense into a big city career woman ‘cause she was giving me Christmas Angel vibes.
After that I had to get her in front of some iconic landmarks downtown–Lauren loves historic and vintage items so I was thrilled to have a clear road right in front of the Famous Baker Hotel (Anybody want to have a wedding here when it opens, call me—-actually don’t, I’m an introverted Millennial, send me a text).
