There was rain, smiles, hidden Mickeys, a first first kiss, happy tears, a cookie bar, and antiquities to explore.

Kaely and Garrett’s wedding felt very them. The day was cozy, and friend and family-filled. I had not done an engagement session with the two of them, which always makes me a little nervous. Kaely used to help care for our little girls at church, but Garrett I had only met briefly a couple of times before the wedding day. So really, my first time to get to see the two of them together was during their first look! Garrett was wiping his eyes before he even turned around. The two of them embraced, and talked, and it was such a sweet moment! And a prime example why I encourage first looks *wink*.

Kaely and Garrett chose to have their wedding at the beautiful Oak Knoll Ranch in Springtown, Texas–just a few minutes north of Weatherford and west of Dallas-Fort Worth. The venue is so secluded and private. The chapel is practically perfect with stained glass windows, and two waiting areas–perfect for tucking away the wedding party before the ceremony if the bride and groom haven’t seen each other.

Right as we were taking them outside for their portraits, it started to rain! It was such a surprise, we whisked them inside for the reception. Oak Knoll ranch probably has the most unique reception space I have ever visited. Inside the grand red barn is essentially a private museum of antiquities, a private elevator to the bride and groom suites, a grand curving staircase, and a built-in photobooth! Guests had the opportunity to explore all the curiosities before dining on BBQ and enjoying the cookie bar. Between the spotlights on the dancefloor, and the balcony overlooking the room, I was able to take some of my all-time favorite First Dance photos–with the chandelier peeking in the top, it was much gives Beauty the Beast vibes which made me happy cause Kaely loves Disney (peep the hidden mickeys on her manicure–she’s probably at Disney World with Garrett as we speak).

And yes, that’s Colton officiating the ceremony. When he wasn’t actually marrying people, he was rocking the video cameras–Kaely and Garrett’s wedding film coming soon!
