Bright colors, embroidered fabrics, and a Tuscan-ranch setting — this Bella Vita Ranch wedding was a feast for the eyes and one of my favorite surprises of the season. Every detail felt thoughtful yet effortless: bridesmaids in soft pinks with floral embroidery, tables lined with colorful dishes, and florals that made the whole space feel like an open-air garden party.
The weather mimicked the day of Halie and Jake’s engagement session — rainstorms rolled across Texas but cleared in time for a beautiful wedding day.
Bella Vita Ranch in Stephenville is exactly what it sounds like — “beautiful life.” A rustic ranch with a touch of Tuscan garden party charm. The bridesmaids wore soft pinks with embroidered details that caught the light, and every table overflowed with colorful florals and mismatched serving dishes. It was intentional, elegant, and beautifully charming.

Brides always have their “favorite” thing about their wedding day, and I’m pretty sure Halie’s was her bridal gown. I was immediately taken with the beautiful embroidered fabric and the bow! Halie loves a bow too, and she carried that motif through the bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ gowns.
Before the ceremony, Halie and Jake shared a first touch—both a bit nervous, excited, and shedding a few tears. These two are so in tune with one another, is it weird if I say they smile the same?
I had a few extra nerves myself when I discovered Jake has an identical twin brother — I immediately panicked about potentially mixing them up at some point during the day (don’t worry, dear reader, this did not happen!).
During the ceremony, the officiant stepped into the aisle, letting the couple face their family and friends as they exchanged vows.
I love the image of the bride and groom shielding the flames of their candles during the unity ceremony. Just as the large candle represents them becoming one in marriage, their hands guarding the flame represent how they’ll need to protect their relationship from outside elements.
Every Groom loves to hear, “you can step out, I want some of just her”
The reception hall was beautiful — the rich, warm tones of Bella Vita contrasting with the bright and colorful table arrangements. The children had their own “kiddie corner,” complete with a whimsical play tent and coloring table — a brilliant and considerate touch for guests with young kids.
The wedding cake was gorgeous, and dinner was delicious — Hard Eight BBQ, of course. After guests enjoyed lively conversation and treated themselves to the dessert table, it was time to bid the couple goodnight with custom light-up ribbons.
While I still have a few weddings left this year, this was my last official R.A. Couple–this was the perfect one to end the year with! From the chillest couple, with the kindest families, to the gorgeous details–Halie and Jake, thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
