Jocelyn & Yonatan’s Elegant Emerald Green Wedding // Stoney Ridge Villa, Azle, Texas

When I arrive for a wedding, I like to take a moment to get a feel for the day–are people overwhelmed? Is it peaceful? Is there anywhere that needs my specific attention to make things a smooth day? Then I’ll head to the bride and groom suites to say hi and introduce any of my team they haven’t met yet. 

On Jocelyn and Yonatan’s wedding day, everything was going great. Most of the decorations were complete when we arrived. Aiv films already had the bridal details all together for us. We popped over to the bridal suite to see that Jocelyn was as cool and relaxed as ever, while Yonatan was the peak of nervousness, which was equal parts adorable and hilarious. 

Their wedding day was the perfect mix of fun, traditional, and elegant–from the velvet wrapped invitation suite to communion during the ceremony. Stoney Ridge Villa is always a fantastic backdrop for wedding days–from the dramatic arches in the courtyard, to the rooftop that gives Santorini vibes, I know we’ll always have amazing portraits here. I always get excited when my brides choose a cathedral length veil–they’re work to wear but are absolutely worth it come portrait time, and Jocelyn’s was absolutely that; plus check out Yonatan’s 3-piece suit! I may have to get Colton one. 

Following a ceremony rich with reverence and tradition on the balcony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard, bartending services provided by Finesse Parties, and beer burros, naturally. Then it was to the reception hall for some simply fantastic fajitas followed by a gorgeous confection from Cake-A-holics, plus agua frescas–which are always a good choice.

The reception was much the same as the ceremony–family and friends were front and center, and traditions wove through the night. There’s a joy amongst everyone when they know what’s coming next.
