There’s always a bit of anxious energy leading into an engagement session—a lot is riding on it. While an engagement session isn’t necessarily my first impression, a couple’s experience during their engagement session has a huge impact on how they feel about me and the trust they’re giving me for their wedding day. For some extra anxiety, in this particular session, we were also navigating 80%+ chances of rain and thunder storms!
Joslyn and Jony were thankfully so game. When discussing the potential rain, Joslyn said, “I’ve got some cute umbrellas!” –Loved to hear it. Both of them were so great to work with, they follow directions and did not skip a beat at any of my ideas.
These two have known each other since they were itty bitty! There’s just something so sweet about getting to be involved with two people who have known each other so long. And they’ve got some great attention to details! I’m so excited for their wedding, I won’t share the theme but they did incorporate some of the wedding colors in their outfit, even with Joslyn’s ring! She wore a maroon ring for the first half of the session and then switched to the ring she and Jony custom designed together. Couple’s tying their wedding day into their engagement session is one of my favorites, and their wedding at the Springs in Waxahachie is gonna be amazing!
Peep the hawk! Colton spotted him right as we were getting started and I just had to work him into some portraits
The one above looks like I popped them into a painting and I love it
Fact: If we have umbrellas but it’s not actually raining, I will still find an excuse to use an umbrella.
This gives me 101 Dalmatians vibes even though they have a cat named Mango and not two dalmatians.
