Something I’m working on with my photography is learning to just stay put when I have good light, so when the clouds cleared just enough to create glow during this morning mini session I said, “alright, we live here now.” Photographers love a good willow tree (and some photobombing wildlife–or at least I do), so I was loving these images. Totally made stepping too deep into the lake and filling my rainboots with water worth it. I’m sure the sloshing sound as I walked around added to the ambiance.
Few people take me up on morning sessions, but the Schefflers are always game for an early morning shoot, and I’m so glad they go rewarded with this gorgeous light! Don’t worry, after the session was over we all agreed a cup of coffee was the appropriate course of action.
