Oh Texas weddings in spring, you never know what they’ll bring! After our last wedding, I was sure to pack every single umbrella I had, just in case; but as the Lord would have it, we had beautiful blue skies all day. The ever-rolling clouds kept us on our toes when it came to lighting, and the humidity meant we had to work fast as a team to keep everyone comfortable.

This wedding was so fun to witness. It’s always a gift to photograph weddings for those we know personally, and especially for such a fun and sweet couple as Madison and Caleb. Right when we pulled up to unload our gear, Caleb came out to help us. Both he and Madison were so relaxed, at ease for the day–we love to see it! It’s simply the best when you have a couple who are beautiful inside and out, who completely trust me and my process.

Details-wise, there were so many things to look forward to. Parker Manor is one of my favorite venues to photograph–it’s got that classic, stately mansion feel that adds so much elegance to anything we’re capturing. Then the florals! I had had the pleasure of capturing Bri from Cardinal Flower Co.’s work before (check out my Tuscan Oaks blog), and I knew she’d knock it out of the park. The cherry on top was Pebbles and Bam-Bam, two highland cows from Sweet Ass Servers (always a hit!).

Rose Marie Glam did an amazing job on Madison’s bridal look (it was perfect all through the night), Caitlyn’s catering was a hit as usual, and you know Back Home Bakery’s cake was a hit when the couple sneaks back to their cake table for me.

After their sweet first look, we headed upstairs for some portrait time in the A/c

When you have a First Look and a summer wedding, you get three mini portrait sessions!

The clouds were too good to not experiment with a different style

I’d love to take credit for this next photo, but it was all Caleb ( we love an involved groom!)

The siblings brought out the laughs and the tears during toasts

And Caleb got the pull the “we’re expecting…. you to have a great time tonight!” joke
