I got connected with Casey of Rust & Relics thanks to a local wedding vendor group, DFW Weddings West; we ended up on the same team for mini styled areas at their bridal show earlier this year (for more, check out this post). Casey is such a sweet soul and loves to serve–she’ll do whatever it takes to bring your wedding decor dreams to life!
She’s servicing the DFW area through the end of the year and now also serving the hill country!
What's your background? (where are you from, what did you do before this, any hobbies, etc.)
I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 5 years. I got married on October 27, 2019, and my wedding had a very vintage/rustic style to it..
Why did you start a rental decor business?
I bought a ton of decor and furniture for my wedding and had a blast decorating for it. After my wedding, I decided I wanted to be in the wedding business. I loved being a teacher, but I really loved the wedding industry. It’s a fun business to be in and everyone is so happy! I took all the decor that I bought for my wedding and decided to open a wedding rental business. I am growing my inventory to fit every bride’s style, and am having a blast doing it!
What services do you offer?
I offer any decor for a wedding or event! For example, furniture, lounge areas, table settings, center pieces, etc. I also offer fake floral design for any decor/centerpieces. I have a decorating fee and will gladly stay before the wedding or event and decorate with my rentals as well!
When should brides contact you to rent decor for their wedding?
Anytime! I require full payment by 30 days before the event, but booking anytime before is fine.
What tip do you have for brides when it comes to picking out decor?
I would say pick a style and stick with it. My wedding was too much when I tried to incorporate vintage AND western, I should’ve picked one or the other. It gets overwhelming with decor. Once you have a style, make a list of everything that needs decorated then we can set up a meeting and plan out each spot that needs decor. If I don’t have all items that are needed or something specific I will find it!
