When you’re related to, or friends with me, there’s a high probability you’ll be used as guinea pigs for a new location or portrait concept. I had driven by the spot next to a historic school house in Mineral Wells, multiple times and was so intrigued; but I didn’t want to just declare it the location for this year’s short sessions without out giving it a trial run.
Fortunately my sister and her family were game to check it out and I’m so happy with the results! I mean, the steps carved into the hill are what caught my attention, but honestly I was thrilled with the portraits of them next to the big oak tree (I hope it’s an oak, Colton will correct me if I’m wrong).
Might just be my new favorite spot for portraits in Mineral Wells.
