Pear Turnovers

Whipped this recipe up back when I was living in San Marcos. I go through phases with my fruits and had apparently decided that I was over having raw pears (and had crescent rolls for some reason).

2-3 pears pealed and chopped
3 tbsp butter melted
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tbsp cinnamon
1 can crescent rolls
dash of nutmeg (optional)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheet, unroll dough

Mix melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pears in a bowl.

Place about a tablespoon of mixture into the middle of each piece of unrolled dough, fold dough over mixture.

Let bake for about 5 minutes, smear any leftover sugar/butter mixture over top of dough.

Total baking time 10-15 minutes.

Enjoy!!

P.S. need more sugar? Melt some more butter and mix with powdered sugar (amount depends on the thickness that you want) and spread over the turnovers after they have cooled for a couple of minutes.
