It was a bright and sunny Monday afternoon, perfect practice for Lisa and Gene’s July wedding at Sky Creek Ranch in Keller. I worked hard to give them plenty of breaks and move through poses quickly–hard to want to be close and cozy when it’s over 90 degrees outside. But they would never let you know that! These two were such troopers! So relaxed, and happy to go with the flow, a great mix for a fun portrait session.
The Dallas Arboretum is one of Lisa’s favorite places to be (which I can totally understand), so it made perfect sense for it to be their engagement session location. We bonded over mutual affections for Europe, exchanged crazy wedding stories (Gene is a DJ), and discussed our favorite DFW restaurants to help them choose where to go for their post-session night out—I don’t know where they ended up going, but the cake they got looked fantastic.
