Rustic Glam meets Disney at Hollow Hill

My favorite weddings are the ones that make you immediately think of the bride and groom, because the couple’s personality is sewn into all the details. That was this wedding to a T. When Shana told me what they had in mind, I may have informed her that they couldn’t book anyone else, I mean, Disney–I had literally studied it in school! Shana and Drew put so much work into this wedding, when we walked into the reception area, I was SO proud. They did an amazing job curating antiques and the beautiful pieces they created for their wedding. I lost it when I spotted the frying pan at the Tangled table (I lost it at the frying pan).

Hollow Hill Event Center in Azle, TX was a great backdrop for their wedding day. From the heart arch for their ceremony, to the reception in the barn, it was a gorgeous day. Drew, who is such a sweet soul and was so excited, was scared to look at his bride. It was so sweet, he’d glance down the aisle but then turn away. When Shana and her father reached the end, Drew had the biggest grin and you could tell they were both so happy for this next chapter of their lives.

And if you spot him in a photo or two, yes that’s Colton officiating the wedding. We wear many hats.

The weather predictions were for clouds, but our prayers for sun were answered so we could get some gorgeous sunset portraits of the new husband and wife. Shana was stunning, bringing the perfect amount of retro glamour to the wedding day–and a bit of magic, cause her hair was perfect the entire night!

After dinner and dancing, the DJ brought the mics out for a sing along; and I don’t care who you are, when “Don’t Stop Believing” comes on, you are a small town girl living in a lonely world. Watching the guys vs. girls was hilarious–we had a hard time taking photos because we were laughing so hard!

We got to have a moment with Shana and Drew after their sparkler exit, it was bittersweet–a day we had all been looking forward to was now done. We snapped some photos in their photo booth–everyone got a good laugh at the photographer who doesn’t know how to work a polaroid (y’all, it only has one button, how do you make adjustments??!). I couldn’t help but think, “don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened”.

Shana and Drew, you had a beautiful day, threw an amazing party (the wedding cake was fantastic!) and we are so happy you let us witness it.

Always,

Rebekah
