So we’re gonna meander down memory lane, let the randomness of my thoughts sneak out, and share a few of my favorite detail photos. I think this is such a great practice for photographers, or other creatives, to go back and look at the pieces we love and remember why–because so often we’re looking for what’s wrong rather than what’s good.
I think I love this photo, and the details overall from this wedding, because I was very limited on time to style and photograph the bridal details. So I was so proud of how elegantly I was able to arrange them while it being such a simple grouping

There is just something so simple and classic about this garden wedding ceremony, it just makes me happy to look at this photo.

It was a really pretty loaf of bread ok?
The bread was definitely not the only pretty thing at Lisa and Gene’s Summer Wedding
It’s just a dang good photo, and I can say that without feeling weird because Colton took it not me.
This was from my fourth wedding ever at the Orchard in Azle. I love that you see the shoes, you see the dress, but nothing about it feels staged. This is like 5 years ago and I’m still working to recreate that feeling in my detail photos.
Photographers take some much time meticulously arranging flowers and accessories, to make the best invitation shots. During this styled shoot, I did, but I also just grabbed the remaining florals, plopped one piece of the invite suite on top and LOVE it.
This styled shoot at Chateau Joli was filled with beautiful details, which you can more of here.
And here we have the complete opposite and it, from the same styled shoot, and it’s a dream!
Now do I look at this photo and just love how harsh the light is? No. Was I thrilled to bits about the ducks checking out the ceremony? oh yes, still am.
Brooke and Jackson’s wedding at Clark Gardens was perfect example of a garden wedding, the ducks just sealed the deal for me.
The absolute hold this photo has on me is ridiculous. Could have photographed this arrangement by Haute Poppies Floral all day, and yes, I have it printed and it just needs a frame.
If you love soft pink florals, you really need to check out Morgan and Sean’s wedding at the Rosemary in Mckinney.
I have been putting a veil and shoes in a chair for years, and I am not going to stop.
Y’all I could do a blog post of nothing but the photos I took with this little guy but I feel that may disturb a decent portion of the population. He was shy little model but did great.
